Energy Networks Australia appoints CEO

Energy Networks Australia (ENA) is delighted to announce Dominique van den Berg as the new ENA Chief Executive Officer.

Ms van den Berg brings an international career spanning more than twenty years in the energy sector, including leading BG Group’s operations in South and East Asia, Shell’s energy transition team and most recently strategy and sustainability at AGL.

ENA Chair, Frank Tudor, announced the decision today following a comprehensive recruitment process.

“The ENA Board is delighted to welcome Dom van den Berg to lead ENA at this exciting and critical time for the energy network sector,” Mr Tudor said.

“Networks and strong leadership across the sector will play an important role in delivering the energy transition for our customers and members over the next few years.”

“Continuing to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable energy services for customers is our ongoing priority. Keeping pace with the accelerating energy transition and our customers’ expectations for innovation to support their needs, we are focussed and committed to supporting and driving a resilient and responsive energy grid.”

“We look forward to Dom leading us in this journey and being an insightful and influential voice in the national conversation on the networks’ role in enabling this transition.”

Ms van den Berg starts at ENA on 15 May 2023.

Mr Tudor thanked former ENA CEO Andrew Dillon, who left the role in February, for his five and a half years’ service.

“Mr Dillon played a central role in navigating a period of industry change, and the entire sector benefited from his leadership. We wish him the best for his future.” Mr Tudor said.
