Bringing Associations Together To Boost Performance

Conversion to Company Limited by Guarantee

Being incorporated under any of the Associations Incorporation Acts, the Fair Work Act or the Co-operatives Act remains appropriate for a number of associations. However, each year a number of associations consider transferring their incorporation to the Commonwealth of Australia Corporations Act.

Associations Forum can assist with:

  • Explaining the advantages of being incorporated under the Corporations Act
  • Consideration of why not changing - maintaining the status quo - may suit
  • Running information sessions and preparing discussion papers to promote the merits of change
  • Running the process to ensure the outcome is correct and timely

If your association is considering changing the jurisdiction and legislation under which it is incorporated, Associations Forum can make the process smooth and successful.
