Brett Fraser becomes CEO of QTIC

Brett Fraser is the Chief Executive Officer of Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) and joined Queensland’s peak tourism industry body in April 2022.

The QTIC is a not-for-profit, private sector, membership-based organisation representing the interests of Queensland’s tourism and hospitality industry.

They work in partnership with government agencies and industry bodies at a local, state and national level, to strengthen the voice of tourism in all relevant policy forums.  Their membership comprises almost 1,000 tourism businesses across the state, alongside 13 Regional Tourism Organisation (RTOs) representing more than 3,000 regional businesses, as well as 18 industry sector associations.

Brett is an experienced senior executive with over 20 years’ global experience within the public and private sectors, spanning industries including tourism, international trade and investment, economic development, and mining and resources. With much of his early career focusing heavily on foreign investment and trade, Brett has had significant involvement in the facilitation of key tourism supply projects.
