Gary Nye appointed SPASA Australia CEO
The Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Australia (SPASA Australia) has elected Gary Nye as CEO.
Mr Nye has previously held several senior executive positions in the fast food, general merchandise and food industries at companies such as Bilo Supermarkets, Coles Myer and Target. Most recently, Mr Nye was COO of Clark Rubber as well as President of SPRAA for the last two years, where he assisted in developing the Certificate III and IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service.
SPAS Australia President, Lynley Papineau supported Mr Nye’s election.
“Our Industry was looking for a leader who understands the challenges and opportunities facing our association and members,” she said. “Mr Nye’s background and industry experience places him in a unique position to take SPASA Australia through the next stage of development.”
Mr Nye was equally as invigorated by the prospect.
“Having worked in the industry for a number of years I am excited about the opportunity of leading SPASA Australia into the future," he said. "The work that has been done by the SPASA Australia over the last 18 months has set this association up to be the preeminent association in the swimming pool industry and I look forward to the challenges ahead."
