ARCS Australia, the peak body for clinical and regulatory professionals, has formally rebranded as LifeSciences Australia.

Section 1. Why LifeSciences Australia
Over more than 40 years, ARCS has grown well beyond its origins as a training and education body for regulatory and clinical specialists. Today, we support professionals across the entire life sciences sector — from early research through regulation, development and commercialisation — through an expanding range of programs and initiatives.

Extensive member and stakeholder consultation throughout 2025 confirmed what we already knew: our name needed to catch up with who we had become.

LifeSciences Australia provides a clearer, more inclusive identity that reflects the full breadth of Australia's life sciences workforce and our role as the sector's professional peak body.

Section 2. What's changing

• Organisational identity is transitioning to LifeSciences Australia
• A new visual identity will be introduced
• National positioning will reflect the full breadth of professions we represent across the entire life sciences sector
• Diverse range of complementary initiatives will be brought together clearly within an ecosystem of sub-brands, including the newly introduced Horizons

• Membership, benefits and community
• Commitment to professional development and sector leadership
• Offerings and initiatives, including the flagship ARCS Annual Conference, training programs, and sub-brands Cognitio and BioBeacon
• ARCS will continue as a key sub-brand focused on professional education, training, certification and events

Section 5. Transition timeline

The transition was formally announced at the 2026 ARCS Annual Conference and is being delivered through a phased rollout designed to ensure continuity for members, partners and stakeholders.
