AHHA entering voluntary administration
The Victorian Healthcare Association (VHA) acknowledges the difficult circumstances the Australian Healthcare & Hospitals Association (AHHA) have faced – which has entered voluntary administration.
As Australia’s only national peak body for public and not-for-profit hospitals and healthcare providers, the AHHA has provided a national voice for the sector for more than 70 years. The AHHA leaves a strong legacy, including advancing Federal and state/territory public healthcare policy, providing independent research through the Deeble Institute for Health Policy Research and offering a space for leaders and professionals to connect through the Australian Centre for Value-Based Health Care.
Now more than ever, it is vital that the sector has a representative body that can provide forward-thinking solutions to the challenges facing our healthcare system. As the only industry body for Victoria’s publicly funded healthcare sector, the VHA will work collaboratively and constructively across the sector to fill this important gap.
