NRMA chief executive Rohan Lund to step down
Chair of the NRMA Board, Derek Stanwell, has announced today that after nearly a decade of leadership, the NRMA Group CEO Rohan Lund has resigned and will be leaving the organisation.
Under Rohan’s guidance, the NRMA has evolved into a purpose driven organisation known not only for its iconic roadside assistance, but also for its growing tourism operations, road safety advocacy and community impact. With membership growing from 2.4 million to 3.5 million during his tenure, Rohan leaves behind a legacy of strategic growth and cultural renewal.
Rohan shared, “I’m forever grateful for the talented and committed teams I’ve had the privilege of leading. Our passionate frontline teams fuel our growth and make the impossible possible. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together, from strategic transformation to membership growth, and thankful to the Board and our loyal members for their trust. While there’s still much to do, now is the right time.”
The Board has appointed Carolyn Darke, Executive General Manager, NRMA Roadside, as Interim Group CEO while a search for a new Chief Executive commences. Carolyn has been with the NRMA since 2017 and brings deep operational expertise and a proven track record of leading large workforces to deliver exceptional member experiences.
