Megan Motto to step down as CEO of Governance Institute of Australia

Governance Institute Chair Pauline Vamos today announced that after six years of dedicated service, Megan Motto, the CEO of Governance Institute of Australia, has decided that the time is right to step down from her position.
“The Board expresses its gratitude and acknowledges the significant contributions Megan has made during her tenure. Under her leadership, along with the efforts of her team and our members, Governance Institute of Australia has evolved into a professional body and an institute of higher education, forming a strong community of governance professionals,” Ms Vamos said.
“Megan should take pride in the way she has united the profession, significantly enhancing our education and accreditation services, and strengthening the voice of governance.
Ms Motto noted that whilst the decision was a difficult one, the timing was right for both her and the Institute.
“I’m incredibly proud of what the Institute has achieved over the last six years and am confident that it is well placed to flourish over the years ahead,” said Ms Motto.
Ms Motto also noted her thanks to members, stating “Our members and volunteers are the backbone of our success, and I have so enjoyed working with them on so many issues over this time.”
Megan will continue to be an integral part of the governance community, and members will have the opportunity to personally convey their thanks in due course.
