Eithne Irving appointed as CEO of Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons

The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) has appointed Eithne Irving as the College’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), commencing on 3rd March 2025.
Eithne brings a unique blend of expertise to this role, drawing on her clinical background, post graduate MBA studies and her experience as a Board Member. Previously the interim CEO and prior to that Deputy CEO at the Australian Dental Association for 14 years, Eithne has extensive experience in media and public affairs, government and stakeholder relations, and policy development.
President of RACDS Dr Erin Mahoney, stated that Eithne’s experience across non-profit organisations, government, and healthcare settings uniquely positions her to advance the College’s objectives to provide excellence in education and will undoubtedly strengthen the College’s role in shaping the future of oral health.
“It is an honour to join the College as CEO. I look forward to collaborating with our members and the broader dental community to advance the profession and achieve the College’s goals,” says Eithne Irving.
