Celebrating 100 Years of the Australian Dental Industry Association

In 2025, the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) proudly celebrates 100 years of supporting and shaping the dental industry.

Since 1925, ADIA has championed innovation, advocacy, and professional growth, fostering a strong community dedicated to advancing oral health in Australia. This milestone marks a century of collaboration between industry leaders, dental professionals, and businesses driving progress. 

The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) marked its 100th anniversary with a sold-out black-tie gala at The Eveleigh in Sydney, bringing together more than 230 guests from across the dental sector to celebrate a century of innovation, resilience and community.

The evening was made possible by the generous support of Whiteley and Henry Schein One, and featured a rich mix of entertainment, reflection and recognition of the people who’ve shaped the industry over the past century.

Guests were welcomed by a powerful performance from the KARI Singers, who opened the night with You’re the Voice, a moving rendition of the John Farnham classic that set the tone for a memorable evening.

The event was hosted by comedian and RocKwiz favourite Brian Nankervis, whose sharp wit and warm delivery kept the crowd laughing throughout. His special edition of RocKwiz: The Magic Edition was a standout moment, with Kathryn Lewis from Centaur Software taking home the top prize, a $7,000 luxury Club Med holiday.

One of the most talked-about highlights of the night came courtesy of Seija Keeble from Professional Dentist Supplies, who surprised the room with a stunning operatic performance. Her renditions of 'O Sole Mio' and Con ‘Te Partirò’ captivated the audience, a reminder that the industry is full of hidden talents.

Adding to the magic of the night were roaming black-tie magicians, who delivered mind-bending illusions between courses and kept the energy high from start to finish.

ADIA National President Ryan Green said the evening was a chance to reflect on the Association’s proud history and look ahead to its future. “Seeing the industry come together, from emerging professionals to life members and former Presidents, made this a truly special occasion,” Mr Green said. “It was especially meaningful to acknowledge members who have contributed 50 and even 60 years of service to the dental industry. Their commitment is what built the foundation we stand on today.”

ADIA CEO Kym De Britt said the milestone event captured the spirit of an industry that continues to grow and evolve. “This wasn’t just a celebration of our past, it was a show of confidence in our future,” Mr De Britt said. “We’re proud to represent such a dedicated and diverse membership, and excited to support the next generation of industry leaders.”

The ADIA Centenary Gala will be remembered not just for its entertainment, but for the people it brought together, a once-in-a-century occasion to honour the depth and strength of Australia’s dental industry.
