Associations Forum National Conference brings 570 attendees to Melbourne

Associations Forum National Conference - held Wednesday 30 April and Thursday 1 May 2025 at CENTREPIECE in Melbourne, Australia - brought together senior executives, board directors and association experts from Asia-Pacific’s associations and charities sectors.

Associations Forum CEO John Peacock AM was delighted with the response from associations and their suppliers. “A record post-Covid attendance of over 570 makes the event the biggest association-specific event in the southern hemisphere and one of the world’s largest such gatherings,” said Mr Peacock. “As well as association attendees from across Australia and other Pacific nations, the conference exhibition was a sell-out with over 50 suppliers involved.”

Highlights include pre-conference workshops and welcome drinks hosted by Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre prior to the content-packed program at CENTREPIECE in Melbourne Olympic Park.

“Melbourne is spoilt for choice regarding quality venues,” said Mr Peacock. “As well as having content and networking at CENTREPIECE and MCEC, we were delighted to hold the fabulous “Re-Imagine” conference dinner at world-famous Melbourne Cricket Ground.”

The two-day conference offered a unique platform for professionals to engage in discussions on key issues affecting the associations, including events, governance, advocacy, technology, and member engagement. The conference featured tailored keynote addresses, parallel sessions, and learning labs.

A past attendee commented “Great conference! The topics were very relevant. It was great to meet so many other association groups and to see how common the themes were on membership growth and attraction and great to share ideas.”
