New President at Crochet Guild Australia - Naomi McManus
For the past 18 years, crochet has been an integral part of my life, allowing me to create intricate pieces of handmade art and connect with a passionate community. Completing my teacher training has enabled me to pass on my knowledge and skills effectively. As President of Crochet Guild Australia, I am dedicated to fostering the growth and development of our guild, building on my previous roles as Vice President, Treasurer, and Membership Officer.
Last year, I co-founded a new branch on the Central Coast, bringing together local crochet enthusiasts and nurturing a vibrant, supportive community. I am also actively involved in yarn festivals, promoting our guild, and engaging with other artisans.
Beyond crochet, I am a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience. The skills I have developed in nursing, such as compassion, attention to detail, and resilience, have enriched my crochet journey. I look forward to continuing my dual passions for nursing and crochet, inspiring new crocheters, and contributing to the preservation of this beautiful craft.
