Kathryn Mandla appointed new NESA CEO

Australia’s leading employment peak, the National Employment Services Association (NESA), is excited to announce the appointment of its new Chief Executive Officer, Kathryn Mandla.

Kathryn brings a wealth of senior executive experience including being appointed the inaugural head of the National Office for Child Safety within the Prime Minister's portfolio and more recently as Head of Strategic Partnerships and Advocacy at yourtown.

Kathryn’s expansive policy and advocacy expertise includes employment, social services and housing. She brings international expertise in employment and broader social issues as former Chair of the OECD Social Policy Working Party. Kathryn also brings an in-depth understanding of peak organisations as Chair of Families Australia.

The Board of NESA is confident that Kathryn's dynamic, collaborative and results-focussed leadership makes her uniquely placed to lead NESA into the future.

Kathryn will continue the great work of her predecessor, Sally Sinclair, who has led the sector for the past 21 years. The Board was very pleased with the high quality of candidates interested in the role and is delighted to have secured Kathryn as the new CEO.

Kathryn will be attending the NESA CEO forum on 4 April and officially commences in the role on 26 April 2023.

NESA warmly welcomes and congratulates Kathryn on her appointment as CEO of NESA. We are excited to continue our critical work to create opportunity for everyone through employment and inclusion and ensure Australia continues to deliver world leading employment services.
