HIMAA welcomes new President Catherine Garvey

The Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) welcomed President Elect Catherine Garvey as their new President following their last Annual General Meeting.
Catherine succeeds Cheens Lee as the former President of HIMAA, one of many in a long line of dedicated and passionate Health Information Managers promoting our profession.
Catherine is a qualified Health Information Manager (HIM) from Curtin University of Technology.
Catherine remarked, “It’s a great privilege to assume the role of President. Our members, quiet and passionate achievers, play a significant role in the successful planning, development and implementation of health information services across a diverse array of roles within the health sector."
She continued, "With the Board and our CEO, I look forward to advocating for our profession and delivering on our strategic plan, enabling greater visibility and connectivity of health information management in practice.”
