ADIA hosts Women in Dentistry Breakfast to recognise changing face of industry
The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) will hold a Women in Dentistry Breakfast as part of its Sydney International Dental Conference, with guest speaker Olympian and Doctor Jana Pittman.
To be held at ICC Sydney on March 23, the breakfast event will recognise and celebrate the growing female representation in the dental industry.
Just over 30 years ago, it was common for a university to have only a quarter of dental students being women. Yet, in 2023, more than 55 per cent of all dental practitioners in Australia are women, with this number as high as 61 per cent in some states.
“The Australian Dental Industry Association is committed to delivering opportunities for progress and collaboration within the dental community,” said ADIA CEO Kym De Britt.
“Our Women in Dentistry Breakfast event is integral to ADIA’s ongoing efforts to promote diversity, inclusion, and empowerment within the dental industry.
“SIDCON and ADX Sydney will offer an unparalleled platform for dental professionals, industry leaders, and stakeholders to connect, engage, and explore the latest advancements in dental technology and practice.
“We have a stellar lineup of speakers and sessions confirmed and look forward to seeing everyone at the International Convention Centre in Sydney in March.”
