ACORN welcomes new CEO Diane Harapin

The Board of Directors at Australian College of Perioperative Nurses (ACORN) have officially announced Diane Harapin as ACORN’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Diane Harapin is an experienced for purpose Chief Executive Officer, who has committed the past 15 years of her career to leading charitable organisations. Diane has established both commercial and not-for-profit entities with a passion for supporting members and scaling peak bodies.

Diane led and refreshed two membership-based organisations, Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand where she renewed their governance and financial sustainability, and the recently re-branded Australian Vision Research where she managed the $500,000 yearly grant program. She was the inaugural CEO at Adopt Change, formerly National Adoption Awareness Week founded by Deborra-Lee Furness AO and has managed large scale educational events in medicine and education.

An impassioned leader, Diane holds 4 degrees in management and education and is a devoted mother of four based in Sydney.

Diane is thrilled to be joining the ACORN team to further the wonderful work of the out-going CEO - Rebecca East, the ACORN Board, and staff. Diane looks forward to working closely with the ACORN team to serve its members, stakeholders, and the community.

The ACORN Board also looks forward to working with Diane and implementing the new ACORN Strategic Plan: Reset for the future.
