A new CEO heralds a new era for ADA NSW
The Australian Dental Association of NSW (ADA NSW) has announced the appointment of a new CEO.
Starting formally on 17 July, Jae Redden holds experience both in professional membership-based organisations and providers of health information, having been a board member of the Australasian College of Paramedicine and holding senior roles with Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Association for Tertiary Education Management and Elsevier Health.
Jae said, “I am delighted to be provided with an opportunity to contribute to a well-established peak body representing the dentistry profession. This is a tremendous opportunity to execute my skills and experience in supporting dentists throughout their career and advocating advancement of oral health on behalf of our members. I am grateful for the trust of the ADA NSW Board and look forward to collaborating across the ADA, the wider medical profession and with our partners and stakeholders in bringing oral health into the forefront of Australian healthcare.”
Most recently, Jae was Chief Executive Officer with Health Information Management Association of Australia. In this role, she was also the Chair, Conference Committee and Company Secretary for HIMAA. Previously, Jae was the Chief Executive Officer for Australasian Medical Publishing Company, a wholly owned subsidiary company of the Australian Medical Association.
Prior to this, Jae has also worked for international publishers such as McGraw-Hill, CCH and LexisNexis responsible for directing the commercial success of their educational publications. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Certified Practising Risk Manager (CPRM) with the Risk Management Institute of Australasia. She holds a Masters in International Communications, Post Graduate Diploma in Publishing and Editing and Bachelor of Arts in Applied Communications. She is currently a Board Director with the Sydney International Piano Competition at The Sydney.
"The ADA NSW warmly welcomes our new CEO Jae Redden who will help lead us into the next phase of our evolution, as the organisation ushers in a new era of improvements for our 5000-member dentists and the communities they service,” said the Australian Dental Association’s NSW President and Sydney dentist Dr Rohan Krishnan.
“We also thank our interim acting CEO Dr Bill O’Reilly AM, Executive Assistant to the CEO Natalie Matkovic and the wider team for their stewardship over the past six months as we navigated a range of internal audits and reviews to ensure we are 100% ‘match fit’ for our members in the services we provide. We have valued Bill’s tireless assistance as the board and I worked through the search and hiring of a new CEO. Bill will continue to assist us in this important leadership transition period.”
