Consumer rights and COVID-19
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) has highlighted the latest information on consumer rights, travel and event cancellations in relation to COVID-19.
This can be of interest to associations and their members.
Consumers are urged to remain patient, and where possible to contact the business or association by email or website, rather than by phone. These are very complex issues and may take smaller organisations more time to respond. The ACCC is alert for any instances of unfair or unconscionable conduct impacting on consumers and members during the current crisis.
