Kylie Woolcock departs AHHA

The Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association (AHHA) has announced a leadership change, with Tony Farley stepping in as Interim Chief Executive Officer. This follows the departure of Kylie Woolcock, who served as CEO since June 2022.
Woolcock's tenure was marked by her commitment to value-based healthcare and health system reform. Prior to her role as CEO, she was AHHA's Director of Policy for six years, bringing over two decades of experience in the health sector, including roles in pharmacy, workforce development, and service implementation.
Tony Farley brings a wealth of experience to the interim role. He has held senior positions in the NSW Department of Health and served as Executive Director of the Catholic Commission for Employment Relations. Farley is also a member of the International Hospital Federation's Governing Council, reflecting his engagement with global healthcare leadership.
In his capacity as Interim CEO, Farley has already addressed pressing issues in the healthcare sector. Following Healthscope's receivership, he emphasized the need for sustainable funding and delivery models in Australia's health system, advocating for collaborative reform involving both public and private providers.
The AHHA Board is expected to initiate a search for a permanent CEO in the coming months. In the interim, Farley will lead the association's efforts to advance equitable and high-quality healthcare across Australia.Tony Farley Appointed Interim CEO Following Kylie Woolcock's Departure
