David Inall Steps Down as CEO of MGA Independent Businesses Australia

David Inall has announced his departure as Chief Executive Officer of MGA Independent Businesses Australia (MGA), a position he has held since October 2022. Prior to his tenure at MGA, Inall led Australian Dairy Farmers for five years and held senior roles in various agricultural organisations, including the Cattle Council of Australia and United Egg Producers in the United States. His extensive career spans over three decades in farm and retail advocacy, with notable achievements such as advocating for the dairy code of conduct and addressing the challenges of farm advocacy funding.
During his time at MGA, Inall was a vocal advocate for independent retailers, addressing issues such as the illegal tobacco trade and rising youth crime targeting retail businesses. He called for stronger enforcement measures and policy reforms to protect small businesses and their communities.
MGA has not yet announced a successor, but the board is expected to initiate a search for a new CEO to continue Inall's work in supporting independent retailers across Australia.
