NSW GBOTA has confirmed the appointment of Mr Allan Hilzinger to the position of Chief Executive Officer, assuming the General Manager role held by Steve Noyce for the past 3 years.

NSW GBOTA Chairperson Geoff Rose officially confirmed the appointment of Mr Allan Hilzinger. Mr Rose indicated that the Board had undertaken a comprehensive recruitment process, managed by specialist recruitment firm Sportspeople, which had attracted many talented and suitable candidates.

“Allan brings a wealth of business experience combined with a lifelong passion for the greyhound industry, in which he is a current owner” said Mr Rose. For the past few years he has run a successful business consulting organisation, after having built three prosperous businesses of his own. Prior to moving into the entrepreneurial space Allan gained invaluable experience, which he will bring to the Association, spending six years as the Chief Executive Officer of Gold Coast Basketball and prior to this in the same role with Darwin Basketball.”

“It is an amazing privilege to be appointed to the position, especially at an exciting time for the Association, and the industry, when a new chapter will hopefully soon be created with the approval and support of all parties for a new state of the art metropolitan racing Centre of Excellence” said Allan. “I consider myself to be a ‘people’ person and I look forward to working with members, participants, GRNSW & GWIC representatives and all key industry stakeholders to continue to strive and deliver the best outcomes for the industry.”

Allan officially commenced in the role on 21 June, 2022 and with his wife Lari and two daughters, Verona and Hollie has relocated to Sydney from the Gold Coast.
