DVNSW Appoints Interim CEO

Domestic Violence NSW (DVNSW) are pleased to announce the appointment of Elise Phillips as Interim CEO, commencing on the 2nd of February 2022. Elise will be seconded from No to Violence for up to nine months to cover the current CEO’s parental leave.

Elise brings to the role extensive experience and knowledge, previously holding the position of NSW Sector Development Manager at No to Violence.

A registered psychologist with 12 years of experience in leadership roles in the non-government sector, Elise has lived experience of domestic and family violence. She is passionate about influencing systems-level change to increase safety, prevent violence, bring healing for victim-survivors and hold people who use violence accountable. Prior to her role at NTV, Elise worked at CatholicCare Wollongong as a counsellor, group worker and manager.

Elise is excited to take on this new opportunity. “I’m looking forward to listening to and raising up the voices of victim-survivors and the services who work with them. I have such respect for DVNSW, their members and stakeholders, and it will be a privilege to lead the work for the coming months alongside a talented team.”

DVNSW Chair Annabelle Daniel OAM warmly welcomes Elise to DVNSW. ''We are thrilled to have Elise joining us part of the DVNSW family, bringing her unique perspective, knowledge and skill. We are confident DVNSW will move forward with our agenda for creating meaningful and positive change under her leadership, as we redouble our efforts to reduce domestic and family violence in 2022."

“I wish Elise all the best in this incredible role which I have found so rewarding,” says Delia Donovan, CEO of DVNSW. "I look forward to seeing what Elise and the DVNSW team accomplish together, especially with the new strategic plan being launched this year."

Taken from DVNSW.
