DSA CEO steps down

CEO of Direct Selling Australia (DSA), Gillian Stapleton will be stepping down at the end of 2022. After over 6 years at the helm Gill has decided it’s time to pursue new goals, both professionally and personally.

Former Board Chair Adrian Ryan stated, “On behalf of the entire DSA Board, I offer my sincere thanks to Gill for her commitment and dedication during her tenure. She has led DSA through a period of significant change and growth and achieved a number of significant milestones during this period. We wish her all the very best in her future endeavours. This is a decision made with a heavy heart, Gill has expressed that this role has been the pinnacle of her career. Gill feels that she has achieved everything that she set out to conquer and is now creating a new opportunity for someone else to take the leadership of the industry body to another level.

From my perspective, Gill has absolutely led Direct Selling Australia to new heights, I have loved her positivity and incredible passion for our industry throughout all the years I have known her. I have always said ‘family comes first’; so, in my capacity as Chair, I have accepted her decision and wish her the very best with the next chapter…which includes actually writing a book.

The Board is completely committed to ensuring DSA remains on a solid footing and true to its purpose as we embark on this important transition. With respectful transparency and trust, Gill has provided much more notice than required under her contract, this allows DSA to embark on the process of identifying who and what the DSA should look like over the next 3, and even 5 years and beyond, with Gill by our side helping to guide that process over the remaining months of 2022.

We will commence our search for a suitably qualified leader in the coming few weeks and will keep you updated on progress.”
