PRONIA announces new President

Pronia has appointed Kris Pavlidis as their new President. Kris Pavlidis is an accomplished leader, an experienced, passionate advocate for social justice and diversity, and has held various leadership positions over thirty years.

Kris Pavlidis was appointed to the Pronia Board of Directors in 2016. She brings to the Board extensive governance experience and skill as an executive and non-executive Director.

Kris has served four terms (15 years) in public office as an elected Local Government Councillor and Mayor, and was the first Greek Australian female Mayor.

Kris is committed to the principles of PRONIA and the vision for strong leadership, innovation and growth in a climate that embraces change whilst continuing to deliver best practice standard of care.

Kris is the Senior Deputy Chairperson of the national peak multicultural organisation, Federation of Ethnic Communities' Council (FECCA) and the immediate past Chairperson of the Victorian Ethnic Communities' Council (ECCV). She has held leadership positions on several community managemnet bodies including the Reconciliation Group.

Kris has served on State and Federal Ministerial Advisory Inquiries and consultations addressing access and equity issues in employment, education, family violence and healthy ageing.

Her work has been recognised through the Municipal Association of Victoria for Outstanding Service, the VLGA Champions for Gender Equity, and the Victorian Awards for Multicultural Excellence. Kris is an alumni of the FOLIO Community Leadership Program. She holds post graduate qualifications in Behavioural Sciences and Management.
