MedicAlert welcomes new CEO

The Board of Australia Medic Alert Foundation (MedicAlert) is pleased to advise the appointment of Libby Day to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Libby brings with her vast experience in executive roles with a demonstrated history of working in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry internationally and in Australia. She was most recently employed as the Director of Government Affairs for the Asia Pacific and Japan region with Illumina, working with Governments across the region on policies resulting in greater access to genomic sequencing.

Prior to this, Libby spent eight years at Baxter Healthcare, employed as the Asia Pacific Director of Government Policy, Advocacy and Reimbursement where she led regional initiatives to scale renal home healthcare and other medical device initiatives.  She has also held senior positions in Public Affairs with Roche Pharmaceuticals globally and in Australia, and with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.

Libby’s extensive career in the healthcare industry, developing business initiatives across a wide range of stakeholders, will provide MedicAlert with a fresh focus and lead us forward. She is also the Deputy Chair of the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre (A3C) and has been involved in many community based organisations that are supporting vulnerable people, which aligns with the MedicAlert philosophy of genuinely caring about people.
