ICC Sydney announces promotion of Dana Fish to Senior Business Development Manager

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), Australia’s premier convention, exhibition and entertainment venue is excited to announce the promotion of Dana Fish to the role of Senior Manager, Business Development – National Associations, taking the reins from long standing team member Tina Eggers.

Previously in the role of Business Development Manager - International, Dana has stepped up to lead a key business development segment, looking after the national associations market.

Having worked with ICC Sydney since before the venue opened in 2016, national association clients can expect to see Fish drawing on her extensive experience nurturing ICC Sydney’s international market, which she was a key part of establishing, working with association and corporate clients based in Asia, Europe and North American markets. Having operated in the world of conferences and events for over 18 years, Dana has an in-depth knowledge of the industry and understands the requirements necessary to develop and implement successful events and meetings.

Dana leads national associations Business Development Managers Karla Clancy, Stephanie Humphries and Yulia Shabanova, and Business Development Coordinator Nora Saloumi. This long serving team brings a deep understanding and passion for the association market.

Speaking of her appointment, Fish said she is thankful for the opportunity and excited to channel her energy into growing this critical market segment as the venue recovers from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. She looks forward to continuing to support national association clients, to assist them with the planning of engaging events for their members – whether they be held in person, virtually or a hybrid of the two.

Fish said, “I am thrilled to lead the team that collaborates with such dedicated event organisers from the ranks of our Australian associations. It is inspiring to work with associations professionals who are passionate about their area of expertise and driven to serve the best interests of their members by delivering events that focus on reaching educational objectives in the most engaging formats.”

ICC Sydney Director of Business Development, Beverley Parker, said she is excited to see this market segment further recover and flourish under Dana’s leadership.

Parker said, “It is wonderful to be able to provide this opportunity to Dana to step up and steer the team through the remainder of the year and beyond. Dana brings extensive industry experience and is passionate about the world of associations and the crucial role they play in serving the community.

“Approximately 80% of the national associations we service specialise in the health, medical and scientific sectors. It is so important to provide them with safe, flexible, innovative and high quality event services and having Dana and her team working collaboratively with these learned professionals is an extremely positive development for ICC Sydney.” she said.
