Dietitians Australia President Re-elected for Second Term

Dietitians Australia is pleased to announce Tara Diversi has been re-elected as President and Chair of the Dietitians Australia Board. Following an initial two-year term as President, Tara will continue in this role for another term, supporting the strategic direction of the organisation.

Tara, an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD), draws upon her extensive professional experience across a range of dietetic areas to continue to guide the growth of the dietetic profession in Australia.

During the past two years, Tara has led the organisation through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as major projects such as the enhancement of the member experience through a new website and communication platform. She has continued to drive and support a range of advocacy activities across a number of areas in the profession.

She will be supported by newly elected Vice President Dr Katrina Campbell and Margot Richardson as the Director of Finance.
Katrina is an Advanced APD who has a unique combination of expertise in research, clinical dietetics, academia and management. She is passionate about furthering the dietetic profession in Australia across all areas of practice.

At the recent Annual General Meeting in November, Dietitians Australia also welcomed two newly elected Board Directors, Associate Professor Lauren Ball (Adv APD) and Simone Austin (APD).

Lauren and Simone make up a team of 9 Directors on the Dietitians Australia Board.

Dietitians Australia thanks out-going Board Directors Melissa Armstrong and Glenn Cardwell for their commitment and leadership to the board, and their valuable contribution over their many years of service.
