Commonwealth Government advances Deregulation Agenda
The Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman has been working with Hon Ben Morton MP, Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister and Cabinet, on the important issue of deregulation and the Government’s New Deregulation Agenda.
The Deregulation Taskforce is currently looking to find ways to regulate effectively at the lowest cost to business. A key part of this work is identifying areas of dual regulatory impost. Businesses often need to comply with regulations covering similar activities at the national, state and sometimes international level, all of these causing costs to business.
The Deregulation Taskforce is seeking real world examples where businesses have been overregulated or where regulations have been a hindrance to conducting business, to assist in this project.
