The Marina Industries Association (MIA) has announced the appointment of Suzanne Davies as the next CEO of the MIA. After a thorough recruitment process, Ms Davies was selected based on her high-level business and club marina management track record and her clear vision for the MIA.

She will commence in a project role with MIA July 1 and then commence in the CEO role October 1 with current CEO Colin Bransgrove concluding at years end what will have been a thirteen-year stint in the MIA leadership role.

MIA Chairman Andrew Chapman said he and the MIA Board were delighted to have someone of Ms Davies's caliber to take over the reins from Colin. “Suzanne has all the attributes we could wish for in a CEO. Additionally, she has an intimate understanding of the MIA and the needs of our members that comes with being an active MIA member and MIA Director since 2012. Suzanne’s most recent position was as CEO of dÁlbora Marinas and previously as GM of Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club in Sydney for 12 years. Prior to that she held a range of senior positions particularly in sales and marketing in the hotel accommodation sector. Suzanne is also a current Director of Australian Sailing which is another valuable synergy she will bring to the role.”

Ms Davies said she was extremely pleased to accept the position. “I have been closely involved with MIA for many years now. I have experienced first-hand the most important role MIA plays in supporting and assisting businesses and clubs to grow. I look forward to continuing on this journey and to playing a lead role for the benefit of the MIA membership.”
