P&CS QLD elects new President and Chair

QCPCA (trading as P&CS Qld and School Councils Qld) has elected Kaylee Campradt as President and Chair.

Kaylee has been active in P&Cs for eight years, an elected Board Director with P&Cs Qld and is currently the President of Currumbin State School P&C. She is also an Executive member of her daughter’s high school P&C.

Kaylee is passionate about public education and parent engagement.

“I believe when families are connected to the school community it makes a real difference to the quality of the opportunities available.

“When parents are represented and work with their school leaders, we become partners in learning, ensuring every child receives every chance of a successful education.”

Former President and Chair, Gayle Walters will remain on the Board until the Annual General Meeting in September. Gayle has provided many years of outstanding support, service and advocacy for state school parents. She has been a representative on the Governance Committee for the Autism Hub and Reading Centre, QCAA K-6 Curriculum Committee, Showcase Evaluation Awards Board and the Premier’s Anti-bullying Taskforce.

One of Kaylee’s first tasks will be to welcome nearly 400 Parent and Citizens delegates to the P&Cs Qld State Conference held on September 6th & 7th at the Sofitel Hotel, Brisbane. The conference is the largest of its kind, connecting hundreds of Queensland parents, volunteers and teaching leaders, encouraging innovation and a reimagining of P&C operations.
