ADEA announces new CEO

Australian Diabetes Educators Association President Brett Fenton has announced the appointment of a new CEO. In the most recent ADEA newsletter, Mr Fenton named Susan Davidson as the upcoming CEO:

"On behalf of the ADEA Board, I am very excited to announce that Susan Davidson will commence the role of ADEA CEO on the 22nd of May 2019.

Susan is a strategic thinker who is committed to achieving operational excellence, member satisfaction and continuous improvement. Susan worked as General Manager of NDSS from 2009 to 2018, which was a fast-paced role managing a budget of approximately $42 million and overseeing delivery of products, services, education and assistance nationally to more than 1.3 million people with diabetes as well as delivery of education and information to health professionals.

More recently Susan has held the role of Executive Officer with Australia 21, a small non-partisan, not for profit, think tank which promotes fair, sustainable and inclusive public policy through evidence-based research.

Susan is very excited about the opportunity to contribute to ADEA and its success, and is looking forward to meeting with as many of ADEA’s key stakeholders in the coming months. I am sure you will join me in welcoming Susan to ADEA and I look forward to working closely with her, the National Office staff and our members to implement our strategy."
