Australian Alpaca Association welcomes new CEO

The Australian Alpaca Association (AAA) has appointed Amanda Olthof as Chief Executive Officer to drive its next phase of growth.

Amanda brings over 20 years’ experience from roles in both government and agricultural peak body associations. Most recently this has included Wool Producers Australia where she was Policy Director, responsible for key areas including animal health, welfare and biosecurity.

AAA President Ian Frith said “We are thrilled to welcome Amanda to AAA. Her knowledge of stakeholder engagement and her experience across agriculture and government in leadership roles will be invaluable to AAA as we embark on our next phase of growth”.

Commenting on her new role, Amanda said “I am so excited to be joining the AAA which represents over 1000 members. The Australian alpaca industry is a viable and sustainable primary industry well positioned for future growth as it expands into new markets. I am looking forward to leading this progress into the future.”

Amanda started in the role on 2 July 2018.
