ADIA announces CEO

The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) has announced the appointment of Mr Kym De Britt as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr De Britt will replace Mr Troy Williams who served as CEO of ADIA for almost nine years.

Mr De Britt was selected as the new CEO by the ADIA Board of Directors given his prior experience as an Executive with the essential skills required for the role.

“Kym is an experienced and versatile Executive with a proven track record of building businesses and business culture through change management as well as proven leadership across a range of sectors,” said Ms Tanya McRae, ADIA National President.

Mr De Britt has earned a Master of Business Administration (HR), a Bachelor of Business Management (Finance), completed a Kaplan Norton Strategic Planning Course, and is an associate member of CPA Australia.

“Through his education and previous experience, Kym proved to the ADIA Directors that he is more than fit for the task of taking the reigns as CEO of the ADIA and representing manufacturers and suppliers of innovative dental products,” Ms McRae said.

Mr De Britt’s previous experience includes working as the General Manager, Chief Operating Officer, and Financial Manager at the Franchise Council of Australia, the Chief Executive Officer of Brazilian Butterfly Franchise Group, as well as the Melbourne Airport Manager for Jetstar.

“Kym has worked in some challenging leadership roles, all of which involved a broad constituent base. His experience in financial management, budgeting and reporting, staff management, and the running of events and conferences can only help to further build the dental industry,” Ms McRae said.

Mr De Britt’s interests include coaching, competing, and training for triathlons. He also maintains a keen interest in Driver Training and motor racing. He is a Board Member of Triathlon Victoria and the METEC Driver Training Centre.

Mr De Britt commences the position of ADIA CEO on Monday, 3 December 2018.
