The IPWEA is a national professional organisation providing member services and advocacy for those involved in and delivering public works and engineering services to the community.

IPWEA (NSW) conducts a range of activities in support of its members’ professional development; facilitation of their peer networks and engages in advocacy on their behalf on a range of issues. This work includes a comprehensive professional development program delivered throughout NSW; an Annual Conference; a series of Regional Forums and regular communications through Newsletters, electronic and print, and the IPWEA’s web site. IPWEA (NSW) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

The Events and Operations Manager will have responsibility for the development and delivery of the Institute's comprehensive events program which includes the Annual Conference, Regional Forums, Roads Congress, Works Officers Conference, Annual Excellence Awards and other events. The position is responsible for attraction of new and ongoing sponsorship relationships.  In addition, the position is responsible for identification of and development of new business opportunities In addition to this, the Events and Operations Manager will assist the Institute as a whole utilising a range of communication tools with an emphasis on Membership engagement and growth.
