Refurbishment paying off for Adelaide Oval

Having undergone a $535 million redevelopment in 2014, Adelaide Oval is now enjoying being one of the most in-demand locations in the South Australian Capital City. The venue has increased its functions spaces from six to 23 and can cater for groups ranging from two to 3000 people.

Adelaide Oval is one of Australia’s most recognisable and prestigious venues, which offers panoramic views out over the city and St Peter’s Cathedral. While the site can host many different types of business events, such as board meetings, it also offers facilities to cater for international conventions and takes pride in using and celebrating local produce.

The commitment to using local products is seen as an important aspect of Adelaide Oval’s identity. As one of Australia’s premier sporting and entertainment venues, Adelaide Oval has enjoyed a long, proud history, and the redevelopment was so successful that initially staff struggled to keep up with demand.Adelaide Oval caters for clients in a number of sectors such as Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing and Exhibitions (MICE), corporate, government and sports and social events such as weddings.

“The response to our new offering has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly from the meetings and events industry with many impressed by the quality and diversity of what we have available,” said Adelaide Oval Functions and Events Sales Manager, Shelagh Stanbridge. “We're catering for everything from business meetings, product launches, seminars and more through to conferences for in excess of 450 people. We are taking calls locally, from interstate and overseas with many bookings for years ahead.
