AIME 2016 Invites You to be Inspired

Held from 23 – 24 February 2016 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, the 24th annual Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) will connect more than 4,000 meetings and events planners with industry suppliers for two days of networking, education and doing business.

AIME is the show where inspiration begins. Visitors and Hosted Buyers will discover new innovations, the latest event trends and suppliers plus enjoy an exciting array of social and networking events.

The highlight of the social program is back with the 2016 AIME Welcome Event hosted by the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB). To be held on Monday 22 February, the event promises to create a memorable and uniquely Melbourne experience in one special night for all attendees. It will also provide the highly anticipated once-a-year social and business networking environment that is unique to AIME.

The revamped AIME Knowledge Program - a series of education seminars, draws inspiration from the global ibtm events portfolio and will deliver the highest quality information and global intelligence. Plus up close and personal sessions with inspiring speakers from Saxtons Speaker Bureau will also join the line-up in 2016. These educational seminars will take place in the new purposely built Knowledge Village and for the first time located on the buzzing show floor. Inspiration and learning is a key component of AIME and the entire Knowledge Program is accessible free of charge for all attendees.

An exclusive Hosted Buyer education program is new in 2016, to be held on Monday 22 February, allowing a dedicated time for hosted buyers to attend the education sessions, prior to appointments on the Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday evening will feature a Networking Hour from 4:45pm to 6pm, where exhibitors will open up their stands for an exciting cocktail party on the show floor.

The Community Hub will be back, offering an inspiring environment in the middle of the show floor for show-goers to take a break – relax, energise, read the news in the printed show magazine AIME Daily and catch up with new and old friends.

Ian Wainwright, Event Director – AIME, Reed Travel Exhibitions is excited to see the industry come together to enjoy a revamped program that presents a multitude of opportunities for Hosted Buyers and visitors.

“All attendees at AIME can expect to have their senses inspired through connection, discovery, knowledge and innovation. We welcome new visitors and Hosted Buyers to attend AIME and create their own experiences and stories like many of our valued repeat attendees have across many years.

“AIME will feature more than 700 exhibitors from around the globe, including a fantastic range of national and international suppliers, venues, technology providers, destination management services, hotels/resorts, associations, PCOs and destinations.

“In such a vibrant and fast-moving industry it’s crucial that AIME provides a forum in which to do business, share the most relevant industry information and offer a creative environment in which to foster industry relationships,” said Mr Wainwright.

As the largest international event of its kind in Australia, AIME is trusted for providing the stage on which businesses can connect, perform and prosper.
