Julie Toth, Chief Economist at Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) will explain the key findings of this year’s Ai Group CEO business prospects report, an annual publication, and provide some insights into the research underpinning this annual series of reports.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Julie Toth, Chief Economist, Australian Industry Group

Julie heads the Australian Industry Group’s economics team, producing economics research, reports, comment and policy advice for Ai Group and its members. This includes Ai Group’s highly regarded monthly ‘performance of industry’ surveys and economics research program. Julie is an active participant in Australia’s national business, industry, regulatory and policy conversations and consultation processes.

Julie has more than 25 years of experience in Australian economic policy and research, working across the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Ai Group in 2012, Julie held senior economics roles with the ANZ Bank, the Productivity Commission, the Bureau of Immigration and Population Research and other Federal Government agencies. She has been an adjunct professor and an advisory board member to university economics faculties.

Julie is currently a panel member of the Economics Society of Australia’s Expert Policy Group and the Melbourne Economic Forum, hosted by the University of Melbourne.

Julie holds a Master of Industrial Relations and Labour Economics from Monash University and Bachelor degrees in Economics and Arts from the University of Melbourne.
