Robert Best, President, Medical Software Industry Association

Robert BestMedications and their importance for human health was impressed upon current MSIA President Robert Best from an early age growing up with a pharmacist father and an older brother who became a specialist. Robert is the current CEO for MIMS Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) businesses with full responsibility to drive the strategy, P&L, growth and operations across the Pacific region. Celebrating +60 years within the Australian market, MIMS integrates its drug and medicines content to +80 clinical and medical software partners within the Australian healthcare ecosystem, many of which are members of the MSIA, and have developed an open, transparent and trusted relationship with both himself and the MIMS team.

He is also the CEO of eHealthWise Services, a MIMS subsidiary that specialises in hospital and medical eClaiming, processing approximately AUD$900 million of eClaims per annum. The Directorship and MSIA’s National President role means a great deal to Robert as it provides him with an opportunity to contribute to and advance digital health solutions across Australia. Given that MIMS partners with many software providers, he is able to cover all verticals of the Healthcare industry from Hospitals, Aged Care, Pharmacy, GP's, Specialists, Telehealth and many other Digital Health areas. Robert has been on the Board of the MSIA for the past 5 years, and during that time the MSIA has achieved many wins on behalf of its members and is now becoming highly respected by government and many other industry stakeholder groups that consult the MSIA about healthcare technology plans.
