Events Special Interest Group (Online)
The Events Special Interest Group is an opportunity for Associations Forum members to share ideas, strategies and challenges with their peers in the association sector.
As the demand for meetings and events surges in an economic landscape marked by steep price increases, event managers face a critical challenge. To address this, they must employ a combination of skill, strategic thinking, and most importantly, creative out-of-the-box approaches.
In our upcoming Events SIG meeting, we will examine how to leverage collective insights and explore practical tips and strategies to counteract the impact of rising prices without compromising the member experience.
Additionally, we'll focus on member engagement strategies that won't strain your budget. Our goal is to uncover inventive ways to involve attendees in enjoyable, straightforward, and cost-effective activities.
This SIG will be facilitated by Tony Gleeson, Associations Advisor, Associations Forum.
*This Special Interest Group is a member exclusive event. If you are not a member, join now.*
Please note the time of the SIG is based on Sydney, NSW time (AEST).
ABOUT SIGs
Associations Forum runs a number of Special Interest Group (SIGs) covering CEO of Small to Medium Associations, Communications, Events, Membership and Finances.
It’s like a webinar, run via zoom – only more focused on group discussion. This opportunity fosters an interactive environment where members can share experiences, exchange professional knowledge, and learn from one another.
Each SIG will have predetermined topics and as a group, participants will discuss and compare different approaches and methods with other likeminded professionals. Participants will have the chance to join breakout sessions, encouraging open discussions and the sharing of experiences within the associations sector.
We find our members benefit from the sharing of knowledge and our SIGs provide the ideal platform for this.
SIGs are free for all members of Associations Forum.
