Having been a not-for-profit leader for 20 years, Peter Olah, Chief Executive Officer at Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute, has seen many instances of associations needing to change due to financial pressures, declining membership, unstable governance or poor communications. During this lunch, Peter will discuss his experiences in different organisations and provide knowledge on how to facilitate ‘The Change you Need’.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Peter Olah, Chief Executive Officer, Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute
Peter Olah is the CEO of the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI), the national body for Australia’s spatial information professionals.
Peter is an experienced association leader. Prior to SSSI, he was Executive Director of the Council of Mayors (SEQ). His previous roles included Executive Director of the Rural Fire Service Association, National Affairs Manager of the Hotel, Motel and Accommodation Association, and CEO of Scouts Australia (NSW).
Peter served for 12 years on Hurstville City Council in Sydney, including three terms as Mayor. He has an extensive background in politics and public administration, having served on the private staff of the NSW Premier and as Policy Advisor to Ministers for Justice and Police.
