Rachel Waterhouse, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Shareholders' Association
Rachel Waterhouse has 20 years of business leadership experience within industry and professional associations and the financial services sector. With a background in digital and traditional communications, media, marketing, sales, partnerships, product management, and events, she has implemented effective organisational strategies and coached teams to excellence. Her key roles in Cuscal, St George Bank, Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), and Governance Institute of Australia has shown her the importance of careful investment and good governance. Rachel has a Master of Business Administration (Executive), a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management (Chartered Governance Professional), and a Bachelor of Business (Industrial Relations). She is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
Rohit Tangri, Senior Manager, Technical Programs, Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy
Rohit Tangri has over 25 years’ experience delivering enterprise programs across Asia, Americas and Australasia. He has led the technology services at AusIMM since 2021, where he created a technology roadmap and transformed legacy tools to a best-in-class, efficient and modern system that delivers better user experience, rich data insights and enables growth of the business. He recruited, mentored and shaped a high performing team, changed and on-boarded new vendors to ensure best value and fit for future and ensured Board support. Rohit worked closely with all business teams at the AusIMM and over the last four years AusIMM has seen an 80% increase in total revenue, 76% increase in website visits, 30% growth in membership and new business lines contributing 30% of all revenue. The AusIMM have won the ‘Association of the year award” for 2024. Rohit has earlier worked at Dassault Systems, Worksafe Victoria and Ambulance Victoria among others.
Tammy Ven Dange, Strategic IT Advisor for Associations and NFPs, Roundbox Consulting
Twenty-five years ago, Tammy Ven Dange helped a client set-up a new charity to support military veteran organisations. Since then, she’s remained heavily involved in the Not for Profit (NFP) sector while concurrently working in the IT industry for much of her career. Tammy started two NFPs, been on the Board or Advisory Committee for six (including the President of a Professional Association), facilitated many strategic planning sessions for others, and most recently was the CEO of a charity. As for IT, Tammy entered the industry as a project manager for the original NASA SAP implementation in 2001. Her last corporate job in the sector was the Head of Public Sector for an Australian IT company. Today, Tammy helps Not for Profits make strategic decisions about IT and data with her business, Roundbox Consulting. It may be for the selection of an individual solution, or a full transformation roadmap that includes a review of their entire enterprise architecture. In her spare time, Tammy is also the host of the podcast, “Executive with a Cause,” where she chats with for-purpose leaders about the nuts and bolts of running an organisation well.
Andrew Gosbell, Associations Advisor, Associations Forum
Andrew is based in Melbourne and provides a range of advisory services for Associations Forum based on his broad experience in governance, change management, leadership development, government relations and policy development, risk management, strategic planning, negotiation and partnership development. Andrew has over 15 years senior executive experience working in medical colleges and associations, including successful tenures as CEO of General Practice Registrars Australia and Deputy CEO at the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. He has a track record of working collaboratively with volunteers, association members and office bearers, and professional staff to successfully deliver a range of strategic initiatives at both national and state levels. He has well-developed networks in the health and associations sectors. Andrew also has governance experience as a non-executive director and currently holds a number of Board and Committee positions in the NFP and tertiary-education sectors.
