ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Susanne Tegen, Chief Executive Officer, National Rural Health Alliance
Susanne Tegen is the Chief Executive of the National Rural Health Alliance, advocating for improved health access and outcomes for the 30% of Australians in rural areas. With a career spanning rural, remote, and regional Australia, Susi has lived in South Australia, Northern Territory, New South Wales, and Victoria. Until recently, she was a partner in a sheep meat and wool, cattle trading, and grain property along the Limestone Coast of South East and South Australia.
Susanne is passionate about rural health, education, and economic development, where she focuses on telehealth, farm safety, mental health, and remote healthcare access. She has held Chief Executive roles in medical and health organizations, led specialist training programs, and contributed to various government and health advisory committees. Susi is an independent member of ACRRM Federal Council and other committees, and has served as Deputy Chair of Farmsafe and FarmBis. She has also been a non-executive director for several health, education, and primary industry entities.
